Students work in groups to collaborate and have fun as they build on their knowledge of math. Weekly club meetings include activities that reinforce middle school math content and an extended application of problem-solving skills. With the guidance and leadership of volunteer coaches consisting of local scientists, mathematicians, community members, parents, and teachers, each LVJUSD middle school coordinates its own MathCounts club to engage their most passionate math students. Mathematics is a foundation of STEM education - science, technology, engineering, and math.
